Sodium polyacrylate

Sodium polyacrylate is an additive for water-based paints that prevents pigments and fillers from clumping and settling. It achieves this by attaching to the particles and giving them a negative charge, which repels them from each other and keeps them dispersed in the paint.

This leads to a smoother consistency, finer particles, and better overall stability of the paint.
